Delete Your VISION TEST Account

This page explains how to delete your VISION TEST account (package
com.givni.eyetest) and the personal data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the VISION TEST app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm.
- Tap Delete Permanently.
Your account is queued for deletion immediately and you are signed out. Removal completes within 30 days.
Option 2 — Request deletion via this web form
Use this option if you can no longer access the app or you signed up via phone and lost access. We will verify the request and process it within 7 working days (and complete deletion within 30 days).
What gets deleted
- Profile (name, email, phone, password hash, profile image).
- All vision-test results and history.
- Appointments you booked and uploaded prescriptions.
- Notifications and saved preferences.
- All authentication tokens (you will be signed out everywhere).
What is retained (and why)
- Payment / subscription records for up to 8 years, because the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST law require Givni Pvt Ltd to keep financial records. These records contain transaction amount, date and Razorpay IDs only — never your card or UPI details — and are de-linked from your profile.
- Encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which residual copies are overwritten.
